Koi Olympiad, Watercolor Painting Koi Carp Fish Ar
Bright gold, yellow and orange koi fish swim in an abstract blending of blues and sea greens. This is a print from a hand painted watercolor. The koi fish are loosely drawn in with a pencil. The koi fish dance across the page like brushstrokes themselves. You will notice something different every time you look at this painting. The word "koi" comes from Japanese, simply meaning "carp." It includes both the dull grey fish and the brightly colored varieties. A homophone of koi means "love, affection" and koi are therefore symbols of love and friendship in Japan.
